Go canoeing / kayaking on the river, cycle through picturesque countryside, go geocaching or nature hunting and explore until your hearts content.
If you'd rather the entertainment stay put and have the entertainment come to you; we've garden games boxes and a range of skills workshops to bring to you: learn some circus skills, bushcraft or archery with our expert instructors.
Once the little ones (and big little ones) are exhausted: light the bbq some of the best locally reared steaks, pour yourself a glass of award winning local wine and roast those marsh mallows!

Self Guided Explorer Activities taking you into the landscapes that inspired some of nations best known artists.
Explore by canoe / kayak: The River Stour is calm and tranquil, from your campsite at Nayland in the heart of the Stour Valley short local paddles, half day and full day return paddles offer the chance to get up close and personal with nature and enjoy the tranquil river with our stable, family size canoes or single / twin kayaks. Riverside pubs at Bures (3hrs), Nayland (30mins), Stratford St Mary (3hrs).
Explore by bicycle: With an extensive network of quiet country lanes and bridleways reaching out from the site, explore for local myths, visit traditional villages and pubs and enjoy the beauty of the rolling landscape by tandem bike.
Explore by foot: With short onsite and local Nature Spotter Challenges, geocaching and sightseeing walks exploring the Stour Valley on foot is great fun for all the family!
Full Weekend Cost of £75 per person based on Family Group Profiles of 24 or more paying guests (Up to 2 children under 10 years old FREE when accompanied by two adults). Price includes:
1) Private Site Hire Fee: Includes private hire of the site for your group.
2) Group Facilities: Family Dining Gazebo ( with tables, chairs, fairy lights etc). Barrel BBQ. Firepit.
3) Activity Equipment incl. selection of canoes / kayaks and bicycles and Garden Games Pack for group use over the weekend.

*Family Package Pricing assumes mixed age and interest group who are happy to dip in and out of activities, therefore sharing kit and requiring smaller volumes. We calculate prices based on thirds participating in any one activity at any one time. For Dining we calculate 50% of a group is adult and 50% child and that each will eat in separate sittings, the standard number of Dining Gazebo spaces required is therefore 50% of group size. Eg a Family Group of 24 would receive canoes for 8 participating people i.e. 4 x family canoes (max 2 adults & 2 children), bicycles for 8 people i.e. 8 bikes and a Dining Gazebo Set for 12 ie one Gazebo with tables, chairs for 12.
